This place is a fascinating place. It's the old portion of the highway that loops off main road up the hill and back to the main modern highway. It is a great place for those who have an interest in nature, camping and geology. It's known as the "Sheep Canyon Geological Loop" and all the various formations scene and fossils found are listed along the way. Well worth the visit. Stay away though in a heavy rain as a whole family was lost in a torrent flood in 1965 in this canyon.
