What is it & a stirrup at the above link.

I was on my own today for 4 hours & decided to try a pasture field we have not done. This time of year was good as the sheep are no longer present & with the flood conditions the drilled crop fields are out of bounds.

I'm pretty impressed with this field & with some work, a nice Georgian item may appear:dontknow:

£1.19 Cash
Crotal Bell (complete & rings)
4 Shoe Buckles (2 good complete ones I think I need)
Coins & bits...

Proberbly a undetected field judging by the large finds, perhaps a Gold coin waiting in this field

I thought the same, some large lead was removed by me as well. This is NOT crossed off the list yet...

I think so, I just need more time to fit it in with the other options...

Looks very interesting!Good luck :icon_thumleft:

Love the buckles. Interesting field; could produce some surprises next trip! worlds smallest crotal bell too?

Those sheep dropped some goodies.

That was a good day! Nice buckles!

Thanks, I like the buckles also.

I can see why they need the 'what is it' (foot pattern) in this field, because even half way down the hill the water table was 3 inches & when I trode the turf back in it was like floating on a swamp.

Your allways digging the good stuff C. Nice very nice. HH

Nice assortment of coins and relics Cru. Merry Christmas and good luck to you in the new year ...... Bill

Nice field, looks like its has never been searched. Is it a big field? How their terry look? Like SS says it might be gold and silver somewhere!
Happy Xmas!

Sorry I meant to say pottery...

Sorry I meant to say pottery...

As its a grass field, the only pottery I saw was dug up by the rabbits - 18th C stuff with pipe stems (an 18th C rubbish pit).

Its not a very big field, maybe about 2.5 acres & I'm pretty sure the local Night Hawkers have over looked it.
