now i know what mastereagle22 is talking about. the new in box experiance.something i have seldom had the opportunity to enjoy thru life.

i had a hard time sleeping last night...too excited!! so it was very late when i finally conked. i had the wife on alert for UPS and in the blink of an eye she was pounding on my door. ITS HERE !! with pounding heard and racing pulse i tried to rub the sleep from my eyes. there it was .my fingers were trembling with anticipation and my mouth was dry. so happy i almost cried. got thru the packing and there the minelab logo. NOT SOMEONE ELSES NOT USED B4,MINE ALL MINE. TO THE INNER BOX. there it all is SHINY NEW.!! yippppeeeee. opening the sacred inner box felt like discovering a great treasure in itself.like indiana jones discovers the holy grail.or something ,i cant fully decribe the RUSH i got off it.being ever oh so careful to assemble it properly.not one scrape on baby will be allowed. yes im gloating over it cant you tell? i feel so priveledged like once my buddy bought me a birthday dinner that included a 300 dollar bottle of vino.just special and precious.and although i dont drink anymore i will always remember.

im feel so priv to be in first shipment from factory.kinda like early strike coins.or first edition book.she was released just under 3 weeks ago. i will wish u good luck to own the machine of your dreams also. more detailed later....

ENOUGH COMPUTER LETS GET OUTSIDE AND SEE HOW THIS BABY WORKS ...Idont know ANYTHING about minelab.lets see if it is truly easyer to learn like the literature promised. OH YEAH !!! U WONT BELIEVE IT BUT... I FEEL I HAVE ALREADY GOTTEN MY MONEYS WORTH AND I HAVENT EVEN HUNTED YET !!!!!!

They use a Crank.

sc,I think it says in the manua',that you have to take a 1hr delay start penalty in any hunt if you have a etrac.

thank you very much to all who replied.i am still learning how to use this.so far im not finding much just trying to figure it all out.i should have most of the day tomorrow to fool with it. VERY FUN PLAYING WITH THOUGH AND FIGURE OUT WHAT THE DIFFERENT SOUNDS MEAN.and then theres the screen .WOW lots of info.i never used a unit w a screen at all.im coming from beep and dig.

hey wsd ,i prob not use for competition hunt. OR since i wont have lots of experiance on this. i think i deserve a ONE HOUR HEADSTART at the hunt. dont u think?

I tried the "It's cheaper than a mistress route." BIG mistake, HUGE, I mean REALLY BIG HUGE!!!!!

Wife said it was also cheaper than a divorce lawyer...
