Hi Folks,
The weather warmed up and ground thawed enough for me to get out twice. Hit my old camp meeting grounds I have been detecting since 2007. Amazes me how I keep pulling stuff out of here. Found 3 Indians 1898,1888 and a 1860 Fattie which someone tried to put a hole in. Two Shield Nickels 1867,18--
and a 1858 Canadian 5 cent silver which is the same size as our U.S. half-dime. I believe this was the first year of mint for these. Also got a little silver pin (Cira- 1890-1910) with the markings CMR Sterling on the back which stands for Charles May Robbins. Found a gold plated ring which is still gold on the inside but worn off the front. Also got what appears to be part of a copper pin or broach? and finally an old shotgun shell case and some sort of bullet. Did not show all the old Iron stove parts, 2 railroad spikes along with pieces of busted glass and crockery I found.
Thanks for Looking
Mike
