Thanks for your help. On the back of one of them it said it sold originally for $4000.

For what it's worth back in the late 70's and early 80's I was hanging out in the East Greenwich Village art scene. I went to many gallery openings for up coming artists who would be getting 4 and 5 figure prices for their work. My friends had an inside joke that the buyers were buying worthless junk. Those that we're paying the price were gambling that the artist would become established; "The next Warhol" LOL.

Art is such a gamble unless the artist is well established and collected.
