this was givin to me as a gift i know it is a ship wreck coin the ship was the admiral gardner and i know its 1808 i have the certificate of authenticity but my question is what kind of coin and whats it worth

Here is some information I can provide you that I got from my Standard Catalog of World Coins (1801-1900) 5th Edition.This is an India British Coin. I am not sure if this is a KM 319 or KM 320.
The KM 319 will have a weight of 6.47 grams and a 25.8 mm diameter. Its value listed here is between 50 cents (good condition) to 45.00 (extra fine condition).
The KM 320 will have a weight of 4.66 grams and the same diamteter of 25.8 mm. Its value listed is pretty much the same. There is a note of the KM 320 stating that nice salvaged (and cleaned) examples from the ship Admiral Gardner are very common.
Unfortunately this catalog does not list any mintage figures. I hope this information is of help to you.

From the 800+-ton vessel, Admiral Gardner, under the command of Captain John Eastfield come the sunken treasures. The coins ( 10 copper cash ) were minted in England in 1808 for the British East India Company. The coins, which only formed part of this immense cargo, were well packed in wax within small barrels, thus sealing out the ravages of a seagoing voyage to India.

On January 25, 1809, the Admiral Gardner encountered a heavy storm in the English Channel and was subsequently swept onto the rocks and sank with several lives lost. Part of the coin cargo was salvaged from the ocean floor just a few years ago.

These exceptional quality coins, which of course were uncirculated on their maiden voyage shows the coat of arms of the British East India Company on one side with the reverse depicting a Persian inscription translating to "10 cash are 2 Fulus".
