Ships Colonies & Commerce Token, 1839 Booby Head LC
I got out early this morning to my new site. Today I concentrated on the house side of the road. Not many non-iron hits. You can usually bet on something old because there is not much modern trash here. Today was the most trash that I have ever dug at this spot. The two buttons came first and the thimble came from a side hill above the house cellar hole. The Token was a screamer, only about 3" deep. The Large Cent was about five feet away and screeming at me too
The LC has a very weak date but easily identified as an 1839 "Booby Head" variety. The SHIPS COLONIES & COMMERCE Token is a cool coin to dig
Hopefully I will be able to get back there soon.
