Shipwreck scanning

I am pretty antiquated on my side scanning equipment. I have used a 20 yr old Marine Sonic sidescan, as well as an old Humminbird 1198c si unit. My scanning is usually in 100 feet or less, so I am not really looking for any deep water units. A fish finder should be just fine. Does anyone have any experience with the newer fish finders in the past few years? Recommendations? Pros and cons?

Once I went on a fishing boat at Lake Erie. Large boat with a fishing group drifting over water up to 30 foot deep. Graph recording fish finder performed great under those conditions. Sea would really need to be calm I'd think to do any graph recording.

This is a scan we got from hunting an old sidewheeler with our Marine Sonic unit. We thought it was called the Vesta, but the state archie told us we may have actually found the Tennessee. They had no idea where it was. I can't find my Humminbird SD card, but my friend Lee Spence found the Georgiana with the Humminbird 1198c. I was just curious if $3000 or below units had any better resolution these days,
