Clive, I have your book on XLT Field Methods. I learned a lot. Thanks. But, as I got older my XLT has gained some weight and I can not hunt for extended periods of time like I could before. I just got a Garrett AT PRO it only weighs three pounds. I was a White's guy for a decade but they have not come up with a lighter weight machine.

Do you have anything in the works for tips and secrets on the AT machines?

If you get the "where?" part right which machine becomes less important

I know the "where" part. Just off the coast, in northern California, (5 min drive from me) lies the 1865 wreck of the S. S. Brother Jonathan and hundreds of thousands of dollars in $20 gold double eagles and other gold coins. A lot has been recovered but they say after a real bad storm some have washed ashore.

I am going to look into your suggestions, that first one for sure. thanks

There's more to "where" than knowing where some treasure might be. It's understanding the day to day changes and patterns which will expose that treasure to detector range. Takes years to learn. Grades, Strata, Sand Textures, Contours, Classification, Exchange--this is what makes it interesting and gets the big results.
