Did a quick after work hunt at my neighbor’s 1830’s farm today. Got a flat button, multiple penny’s, 1901 Barber and a 1846 Silver Dollar. They must have used the dollar on a necklace. I found my first silver coin on this same farm last year. Not bad for a short hunt. ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1561766988.655743.webp

Great bunch of finds, Congrats!

Great site & hunt, nice silver saves, congrats on all

Thank you everyone!

An 1846 silver dollar? Holy hell man! That is unbelievable. You know that no one ever finds Seated dollars right? Awesome!!!

Killer silver dollar, congratulations on a great hunt. Sub 8-)

Congrats on the seated silver dollar. Don't recall seeing one posted on here. If there was it's been awhile back.

Thanks. I actually didn’t know that it is a rare find. I have to admit to not knowing much about coins yet. I was excited to find it.

Awesome!!! Congrats!!!

I have been detecting for 17 years and have never found a silver dollar and I have found over 120,000 coins. Any silver dollar is a great find, but a SEATED DOLLAR is stupendous . Way to go, that is a great day. That farm is a great permission and might hold a lot of other nice surprises. Keep swingin and keep us posted.

Thought I would add some better pictures. Anyone have advice on cleaning it? I did give it a light toothpick cleaning. Would you leave it as is or try to clean it further?ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1561777913.197070.webpImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1561777925.213613.webp

That's what I call a crazy good hunt Josh! That seated dollar is fantastic!!!!

Kind of a nonchalant post for finding a Seated Dollar- I can't recall ever seeing one posted- Big Congrats!
