Short Field Day In The Snow yields an 1840 LC

Tough morning out in the field today. Partner found a flat button some overall buttons and a wheatie. I found brass odds and ends and this rough 1840 LC that was hit likely by a plow blade at some point. Gonna venture out for an afternoon hunt and see what comes up. Oldest coin to date!!!

Rechecked the date with a magnifier 440 hah, it's an 1840. But ya did have me do a double take!

Nice job on the Large Cent. I was thinking the same as digging440yrs. It does look like an 1810 in the picture. Glad you double checked it.

I'll try to snap a better picture tonight and post it up, see what ya think wish it were in better condition, but for a [assuming it's 1840] 176 year old coin it ain't that bad hah
