Found a dump along a busy highway here in central Mass. It's about ten yards away from a culvert that passes under the highway. The dump has great age, but after two days of digging I still haven't found a whole bottle. Looks like construction of the highway could have been the culprit. First Dr Tebbet's I have seen was amongst the crushed bottles.View attachment 1328042View attachment 1328043 also found half of a Mrs Gardner's Indian Balsam of Liverwort.View attachment 1328044View attachment 1328045View attachment 1328046. Found a couple other pontiled bottles including a Richardson's Bitters, and some sweet black glass. IMG_20160620_1051046_rewind.webpIMG_20160620_1047102_rewind.webpIMG_20160620_1045049_rewind.webp

Whoah you have an early site there. I would continue to dig it there has to be something whole. That cylinder utility would of been awesome. Looks like a new England piece.

Yes, keep digging carefully.

By all means, don't give up just yet. Great potential there

Diiiiiiiigggg!!!

I agree with the rest, it can be very discouraging but the whole bottles that may be there would make it worth it.

Keep on digging unless it looks already dug.

Thanks for the encouragement everyone. The use layer doesn't look like it's been disturbed. Went back for two more hours today, and still nothing whole.

I would not stop until I was sure I would not regret keeping at it.

Keep on digging!!! Switch up digging locations by a couple of feet your bound to find some cool stuff!!
