Shovel size White Mountain Nat Forest

I was reading the regulations and it says you are restricted to small hand tools. Does that mean garden trowels or can you use short (4') shovels?
The ranger at the Saco station was saying garden trowels.

I have been using a weight set at home and an exercise bike. I want to get to the point where I can walk the next day LOL!

Next week I will be back up on the Wild AM and it is going to be cold and the water colder, and it is supposed to rain! BUT I am looking forward to it!

Good luck to you brother. The water was still comfortable, I bearhanded it for hours with no discomfort, .... that will be changing soon.
