Looks like the left side was cut for a side notch to be hafted. The right side broke off so hard to tell. Ordered a new camera lens to get some better close ups.
Sent some pictures to the Smithsonian to the author of an article discussing the use of these hafted.
It was found about 2 feet down so don't think it was deep enough to be an in place fossil bed.
