Sifting Grandstands for some winter time scavenging

Grounds froze here so we desided to sift under the grandstands at our local fair grounds found it was diggable, sifted for about a hour (about a 12x3 foot area)found a bunch of change and gold plated bracelet, had fun doing it and might try again soon...

Go find a grove of pine trees.
The pine needles keep the ground from freezing if it hasn't been too cold.
