Silver activity 10/19/09

Did not feel like a road trip today. So I opened up two more bank accounts and ordered 16 boxes of halves for this week from 4 different banks.
The road trips are fun but getting old. So I'm going to do some lazy hunting and order lots of boxes. This more boxes than I've ever ordered in a month(not counting dimes).
Oh, I did pick up a 1996 S proof kennedy and a forty percenter at the new banks.

Rich, do your boxes have dates stamped on them ? My regular bank gives CWI boxes which have a date stamped on them - usually only a couple of weeks before the actual date. However, my last three boxes were dateless and all skunks. I usually aways get some silver, even if it is only 2 or 3. Do you think the dateless scenario has any significance ?

Hey good luck on the boxes. Good chance you will blow through a bunch of dumps and hit the bottom of a pallet or two and see the real stuff. Maybe hitting one of those 500+ boxes a few here have seen. (I'm still waiting for my first 50+ box.... )

I've never seen more than 32 in a box, and that was only once, 7 months ago. My son ScoobaSteve has never found a single silver in a box.
Last week was the first time I ordered boxes in a few months. I expected to get 2 only because 2 were showing. I got 16 whoop de doo.
I could possibly skunk out on all the boxes, but I expect I'll get a few. If I catch as many as I do on road trips I'll be happy. If not,after a couple of tries I'll hit the road again.

I used to think that the dates on the boxes and numbers had some significance. I no longer do anymore. There is one bank where I buy a box of dimes from that were stamped CWI with a date. I always scored 5-11 dimes per box and some old coins. The last time I got a box from them the cwi stamp and date were replaced with 4 numbers. Still got 5 dimes and an oldie.
