Found what appeared to be the remnants of a well at the back of a site I have been working. The very first find of the day was the 1783 1/2 real. I did not bring my glasses but could make out designs on both sides, instant high blood pressure. It was hard to slow myself down. Lots of buttons kept me going then a very solid signal announced the arrival of the King. A 1753 King George the second. Very exciting day around the well.

Love the Spanish, what's probably a light weight Georgie (Counterfeit), and the half cufflink button! Good stuff

That's a nice early cabin site you have going!

I have a scale, any idea what its weight should be.

On another thread one was 8.7 and it was said to be in the low range. I'm pretty sure it's counterfeit just by the looks, but a lower weight will seal it. It looks quite thin, and just strikes me as a ctft looking at it.

Holy crap, you need to change your title to something more catchy. I almost didn't view it because of that. You are definitely hitting an old cabin site. I would be sleeping there and then digging in the mornings. :laughing7: I love the George copper. Keep hitting it at every angle that geometry will allow. :icon_thumleft:

The coin came in at, 128 grains or 8.2 grams. Good eye Iron Patch at picking up on the counterfeit George. The medical button I have not looked up yet. It was a mass of solid oxides when it came out of the ground. I put it in my electrolysis tank and this popped out. I found this away from the well on a deer trail.

That's actually much heavier than I expected. It can't be near as thin as I thought it was. It doesn't make much difference counterfeit or not, it's just as good either way!

The reale's great. But the cufflink is a sweet find. :icon_thumright:

Nice going on the silver and the copper. :icon_thumright:
