Found this silver broach on eastern shore of Md. looks like 935? And makers mark. Anybody able to id the maker. Kind of looks like cross in shield or something?

It kind of looks like it was made to hold paint, because of those grooves throughout with a solid border.

Had the brooch cleaned by a jeweler! Looks great now.

That's come up a treat! It would be worthwhile getting a pin clasp soldered onto the back.

It does now appear to be marked '935' as you said in your PM to me, but I still can't make out the other mark. That fineness of silver was typically used in the past by German and Scandinavian makers.
