Last month I found a large silver brooch below an old brothel site on the river. Yesterday I learned that it was actually a 2 part brooch when I found a sterling silver enameled maple leaf. The connection points on the back of the maple leaf match up with the iron stains on the main piece of the brooch. Silversmith is Richard Hemsley and he was known for this style brooch! Quite pleased with that!
