Got out today at part of the new permission. First hole was the copper I thought here we go. Wrong tons of junk used to be an old Tavern on the sight. The silver buckle piece was hidden in all the junk. I'm sure more will come, just have to work for it. I'm spoiled from digging in the fields with very little junk. Good luck to all. Art

Looks promising. I know what you mean. I hunt a lot of fields were signals are few and far between, then when I get to a site like that it can be overwhelming. Good thing is It can produce for a long time. Nice finds.👌

Your in the right spot, not convinced that's a 'Silver' Buckle piece though.

Buckle?

It's definitely silver and I thought buckle because of the wear on the back

Oh yes an 18th C shoe buckle bit alright! It looks better in that photo, looked a bit like tombac in the first.

Very nice start. I know when you start a new spot and you end up with tidbits it can be disappointing, but I'm sure there's a lot more for you in store. That Silver shoe buckle is an excellent sign. Good luck!
