They give it away because they don't understand it's value, that of real money. IMO nine out of ten people have no clue. My son works the till at Taco Bell, he's 17. He's already brought home several silver dimes, a dozen wheats and a buffalo nickel. His co-workers have no interest in his finds, or their value.Damn, I just noticed this post. You know some cool people for them to collect those for you. My buddy used to work in a candy store a few years back and he would occasionally get silver coins from some customers/banks. I'm scratching my head as to why people don't realize they are pretty much giving away silver.
