Silver edge, but not silver half - what it could be?

Painted, or plated, or dipped. If this is the first time you have seen that, you must be very new to the hobby, and if you plan on continuing you better plan on finding many more.....

I got halve 1974, silver edge, weight 11.24g - what is it?
Sounds not silver, but not sure

Not right year, not right sound? NOt a question. It is clad. End of story.

Someone painted or dipped it, so it looked silver. But the year and sound are the end of the sicussion. :-)

There is a very slim chance you could find a strike on an incorrect planchet, but if the weight is this close to correct...it's nearly impossible.

I had a chrome plated '74 that I got in a roll early this year. I spent it on postage.

I just picked up 30 silver plated ones at the bank. They had me going for a minute. You can buy sets of gold silver and platinum plated ones on eBay. .
