ok heres a better couple pics of the silvers from the other day boy the merc sure does shine up all i used was a little tooth paste.Ok i have a question about the standing liberty on the lower rgt side there is a M i have looked at standing liberty info but not seen anything about an m yet anyone know

The M on the SLQ. would be the designers initial, man thats one clean merc...
 

Very Nice Finds!!...And as mentioned...M is the Designers Intials....Its crazy someone just posted a question about the same thing about why there was an "M" on there.
 

MacNeil designed the standing liberty quarter. FYI, whatever collector value there was to the Merc dime you polished away. Good thing it wasn't a 16-D or you would have polished away about $2,000 or more.

Nice finds. I personally, love to clean my silver finds, but one with such great detail like that, would have likely kept me from polishing it. Does the Reverse that that much clarity?
