Silver Japanese Coins??

These are two coins I found at a yard sale. Not sure what they are. There are no dates or english words on them. Anyone ever seen these before?

They're Chinese. The one on the left is a dollar. well, here's a link, half way down the page; Coins of the Chinese Republic

They could very well be replicas... When I find old foriegn. Silver dollars at garage sales, they are replicas. Ie. fakes.

How would you know if they are fakes?
