Got out again yesterday for some more colonial finds. Got a couple large tombacs, part of a shoe buckle, and then a silver knee buckle! I thought it was plated but the top is solid silver. Under that is a different metal. So cool.. Then the last find of the day was a large copper. I can't get much detail off of it but I can see 1777 underneath the date line so KG III I would think

These are awesome relics, and silver from colonial era is especially so. Congrats on a terrific hunt! :occasion14:

A top plate of silver was common during that period. Excellent find and be careful not to clean it too much.

Super finds. Congrats

Might be a knee buckle but very big for one, looks more like a hat buckle (or small shoe buckle). Nice find.

Nice finds! I would definitely go with the knee buckle ID.

Congratualtions on the old copper and relics! :occasion14:
