Silver knife blade !

Hi all

Yesterday I found this silver knife blade.
I was wondering how old it is, and where it is from?
Is the lion a sign of England?
The blade is 6 cm long and broken at the wide end.

Can anybody help ?

Neat!I think the head Duty mark will tell you.I can't quite make it out.

On this end it looks like a man head with a beard,on a woman's body wearing a nighty!

You have a sterling silver folding fruit knife blade. The thumb notch makes it 19th century.

The sterling mark (lion) makes it English, but the shape is unusual. The bust is the duty mark of either George III or IV.

So date circa 1800-1833.

I actually succeded finding the exact same knife on an antique site !

Silver folding fruit knife, Sheffield, England about 1800-1810

Wow, I would have loved to find the whole knife.
I must get out there and look for the rest.
