It was a beautiful day in San Francisco with the temperature in the mid 60's 8-) ! ....It was T shirt weather! ...Well, the silver quarter saved my day! I spent the first 3 hours digging mostly just some clad and a few wheat pennies. Around noon I got a perfect hit at 4 inches and out pops a 1942 quarter! Anytime I dig a good coin I always sweep in a circle around the target to see if it's a possible coin spill. My technique paid off again with a 1925 buffalo nickel about two feet away from where the silver quarter was! :headbang: ....The next three hours would produce some more wheat pennies , little more clad, and a St. Mary medal....... Any silver is a great day!

Nice finds.
Reminds me of one of my spots. I have a pretty good collection of those old medals; many of them silver. Always a great find in my book.
I would definitely go back and keep pounding that spot until there's nothing left.
