I've searched $6,000 in halves so far and have found 5 90% and 16 40%.

1:3.2

Mine has been exactly 1/10 too so far this year!

Don't worry about the low quantities so far, like I said earlier, you're the one who's going to find the next Barber.

Wow, my percentages are pretty low. I've gone through 66 rolls, and have only found 4 40% and 6 nice 1976 proofs - no 90%. I have another $500 box coming tomorrow, so we'll see how it goes.

Well, if you just take 40% vs. 90% kennedy. Im right there with the average
at 1 in 9.57 - But add in Walkers, Barbers and Franklins especially, and Im
down to 1 in 2.39 !! I believe 4k in halves thus far + a couple random rolls that
produced nuttin'.

Someone must take all the 40% around here, and substitue Franklins in :)

I'm with Raptor

Only kennedys 90%:40% = 1 in 8.25

But add in Franklins and Walkers = 1 in 4.22

Also note that I am at about 1 silver half (of any type) per 107.5 halves (1 in 5.5 rolls, though most of the silver has been loose and not rolled.)

That is out of 8172 half dollars. (rolls or loose)

Also note that 2960 of the half dollars were from rolls at local Wells Fargos and they have produced exactly 2 - 40% Kennedys. So 5/8 of the half dollars produced 97.4% of the results. Even though they seem to have a large source of halves, they also seem to be already searched. Maybe I'll keep trying occasionally just to see if its bad luck or what and spend most my energy on halves elsewhere. Other denominations have been consistent with all other locations, just not halves.

28 40%ers to 7 90%ers that is 2 ben 2wakers and 3 64ken

I'm well over 12,000 dollars face value, including last fall, and only one Benji to show for it... the rest are all Kennedys. Wow, some of you sure have done well with the pre-64's! :)

With a recent run of 90%ers on the last few boxes or so, got my 90% to 40% ratio down below 1 in 10. It's down to 1 in 8.5 (counting Franklins and Walkers) having looked through 22 full boxes ($11K) and another $600 in loose/rolls so far this month.

Still waiting for that first Barber.

Wow! Face it, you're addicted. The first step is admitting you have a problem.... ;) There should be a twelve step program created just for you.... ;D

I don't have a problem admitting I'm addicted. The problem is convincing my wife and kids I'm not crazy for doing it. :o
