Silver religious coin ????

So I'm pretty sure it's pure silver found it at a 1700s site. Found a few old coppers and a 1773 Virginia half cent but I've never seen anything like this before hopefully someone will know what it is and the age of it thanks !!

Super find! I think this is an old devotional medal. I think the obverse legend is DILECTO CARMELO and is showing Mary / Our Lady of Mount Carmel.

I haven't been able to find an image quite like the reverse but I think it might be a depiction of Mary interceding on behalf of the souls in purgatory.

Nice, it looks to have been worn by several generations before being broken and lost given the rounded appearance of it...
