Hello Forum,

It’s been a while since I’ve posted anything, but I’m finally back on the board with some silver! Thanks for looking!
you ended that streak with a bang, what a beauty!! She is still on my bucket list, big time gratz

You kind'a buried the lead story there Cantstopdigging...Finding a silver dollar is pretty damn epic and happens very rarely. You broke out of your silver slump with a Grand Slam! Well done!

Thanks Everyone! Yeah that Dollar is a real chunker. I fell over, and threw the coin up in the air when I found it!

Huge congratulations on the dollar.
Still on my list of wants, been waiting for 55 yrs.

I don't recall many silver dollars found. Likely they were difficult to lose because they are so big and shiny and they are also worth searching for if lost because of their value at the time.
Yes, Silver Dollars were hard to loose because they are big and shinny.
They were also closely guarded because of their value.
$1.00 in the year 1900 had the buying power of $33.00 today.
Also, I always thought that in colder parts of the country Silver Dollars & Half Dollars were lost in the snow ?

Congrats on some nice silvers ! They sure are the "big and small" of it". I have managed to dig 3 Morgan's, but I'm still looking for my first Peace Dollar. Maybe one day it will show up.

Way to go!! well done :notworthy:

I'm trying to picture what you would have done if it was a gold coin! 😂 Congratulations on a great find!

in 1922, one dollar had the buying power of about 18.50 dollars today. Losing one back then was probably like getting punched in the stomach. Awesome find. Congrats!
