Silver tape teller.....

I went into a bank of america and asked an older teller for some halves.She said we have no silver here.I said I wasn't looking foe silver I was just looking for key dates.She gave me the look of ya right.Any way I noticed on her tray was a mercury dime a roosevelt silver dime a silver quarter a ww2 nickle a 90% and 40% half all taped on the top of her tray.My guess is that she uses those for two purposes..one to compare to find more for her and second reason is to let us crh"rs know She is in charge and I ain't gettin any silver outta her.Oh well I know where not to go from here on out.

Sounds like she would enjoy a good dump. Find some old tattered paper rolls with markings indicating silver and dump a load of clad for her to search.

Ah probably the type to check everyone elses drawers to see what they have and then go thru it. Those in charge always have a way to get what they want. Silver is all hers and she wants to make it known don't come here!

Fortunately for us CRHer's there aren't too many tellers like her - at least not from my experience.

Maybe if you ever go back there you could ask her if she doesn't have any silver maybe she has some copper memorial or wheat cents or buffalo nickels or Canadian coins or NIFC halves or any 2009 coins you could buy, etc.,etc. Then she might have to add so many more taped coins to her tray that she would run out of room to be able to use it for its' intended purpose. Maybe you could even bring a roll of scotch tape with you to give her when you ask.

One time I asked for halves and the teller had $60 worth. She opened all the rolls right in front of me because she said she had to "count" them to make sure they were all there. I told her not to worry about it but she insisted, I know she would have kept the silver if there was any. One the bright side, there was none and she saved me a dump trip. When she was done counting them, she said it'll be 60 dollars. I said "No thanks, I'm going to pass. Thanks for saving me some time." I could tell she was irritated, but she was pretty rude the whole time. I could tell she didn't like roll hunters.

Slash her tires, so all her silver profits she stole from you have to go to purchasing new tires. Did I actually type that aloud...oops.

I have an old hag just like that...went in yesterday and I say where's Darlene...she never has off!! I laughed, and said, man you guys work her like a slave (didnt think about it, but it probably sounded racist as she is black, oops). They replied, "Oh she took a month long vacation." I giggled as I know shes a total silver nut and sucks it all up when it comes in. Amazing what silver can do for your lifestyle apparently.

I was simply going to say make it your new dump bank, but many others have already said it, so I ranted for a bit.

Go in and ask to buy some halves. When she states that she has none, tell her you see some taped to her tray, so now she is lying to you. Ask for the manager and tell the manager she is refusing to offer service to you-their customer. If that doesn't work. Call the District Manager from inside the bank and explain how THEIR teller is refusing service to you. Enjoy your new coins. If not, you will at least have made a point.

I'm seeing a lot of negativity directed towards the teller here. Basically she said that she's picking over the rolls for silver, and that anything she gives out has none. Would you all prefer if the cherry pickers don't give you the head's up, and load you up with rolls that they know have no silver? Personally, I love to know where the cherry picking tellers are, so I don't waste my time with that bank, other than to dump.
