Simplex Lite - Pinpoint issue?

I purchased the Lite about a month ago and it's a great detector for the price, I am really enjoying it. However, I've noticed an issue with the onboard Pinpoint button/feature where it takes 2-3 presses before it engages. Is this a common issue with this model or do I possibly have a faulty unit? It works fine once it engages.
