Since he's on fire, here's another one for Montana Jim

copper medallion looks like a tree and a shield on the right side. I updated my post from yesterday with a picture of army screw back hat pin. The title is military button help. Could you take a look at that. Also I added a navy button. If some one could give me any information on that.

I am taking a wild guess here that it had something to do with NRA Notts Rifle Association ,possibley 1st Company Robin Hood Rifles. It was thought that Britain should have a reserve of well trained men ready to meet the threat, it was along the same lines as the original every man needs to be an archer, Agincourt etc. 1860-1861....... :)

Then again since I am not the AMAZING JIM from Montana ....LOL....I am probally way off!

BTW - That's a woman on that medallion. 

What does the inscription on the back say?

Is it definitely Copper? Could it be Brass or Bronze?
I can't read what appears to be an inscription, either :tongue3:
