HOWARD COUNTY - FRANKLIN ... SANTA FE traders ROBERT MCNEES and DANIEL MUNRO, from here, were ambushed and killed by PAWNEE indians in 1828 at MCNEES CROSSING near CLAYTON, NM. source NEW MEXICO TRAVEL GUIDE - 1996 (MY COMMENTS HERE - the indians preferred to hit the traders on their way to SANTA FE so they could get the trade goods instead on the silver and gold in the early days. Later they would attack both ways to injure the whites. In this short lead you get a relic site in NEW MEXICO and two treasure sites in MISSOURI)
FLORRISANT ... in one old house I hid $25,000 under a brick floor. In the same house I hid $10,000 in the wall. My wife and I had to run for it early one morning.I don't know if it still stands or not. source JESSE JAMES AND THE LOST CAUSE BY JESSE L. JAMES (1961)
