ok here is some help * sensitivity is power output they are one in the same --the more sensitivity / power you can put out the deeper the signal will go generally speaking , however there are limits on how much "signal (power) that the soil will accept ----mainly you are limited by the mineral levels in the soil --some ground is "sweet" (low mineral levels -so you can run high signal levels and get better depth ) while other ground is sour ( very high mineral levels -very hard to hunt due to conditions -- you may have to greatly lower your sensitivity levels to make the machine run stable) --- its generally thought by most folksl best to run as much sensitivity as you can in a area , without the machine falsing a lot -- if a machine is going nuts --beep, beep, beep first check the batteries to see if their charge level is good , then if its not that try very slowly lowering the sen / power output level just until she runs "smooth" --this is for preset ground balance machines-- of course --if you can manually GB do so to suit the local conditions.
the term GB = means --ground balanced --that is when your machine 's signal output level "matches" the maximum amount of siignal that the grounds mineral conditions will accept -- ie your running at your machines "peak level"--(maximum depth) it means everything is just right.
