Last May, I was mowing walking trails and noticed this large piece of Sioux quartzite. I can not tell you
what it weighs. We do not move it around. It sits in the middle of a multi-campsite area on the south side of the farm.
I am afraid that I am going to have to pass on the "pics from all angles" suggestion with this item. ;-)

Have an awesome day.

Its Just a rock with a top section that popped out from water seeping in to a crack and freezing imo.

Natural hole, looks formed by water, if it was a metate the bottom would be a lot smother plus some signs of the grinding use.

Learning, it's a process. For me, maybe a longer process...who knows. I am gonna smile at every NA handled lithic👍. It's what I do.

Thanks for taking a look!

Finally got some rain today. The creeks have been bone dry but for a hole here and there. It has been dry for over three months.

Makes for awesome rock hunting though.
My wife opened my eyes to several stretches on the main creek that she was hunting...areas I had never tried to walk.
We share our "spots"🎃

On to more Sioux quartzite and other unknown goodies, trinkets & baubles.

Uni-face blades have been on my mind.
