My boyfriend and I skipped work last week together and spent the day metal detecting, here is what we found 
We started at a beach, then went to a play/picnic area. Met another guy there, who showed us a few coins he found, very inspiring also. We found almost all the change in a single spot, near a concrete porch by the restrooms at the beach. It was the best way to spend a day off, even if we didn't find anything much. The small rectangle thing just to the left of the date isn't metal, just saw it on top of the sand, it is wood with a teeny tiny Holy Family picture on it, just thought it was cool also.
