Skunk day saved by the teller tray.

Today I went through 500$ in quarters and 750$ in dimes and did not find any silver. Several banks I went to did not have any halves however one PNC did have 2 halves in the teller tray. She asked me if I wanted them but I couldn't actually see the tray from where I was standing but I figured I might as well buy them. I gave her a buck and she handed me two halves one of which was a 1968d!

Certainly made me feel a lot better about my 3 boxes of skunk

Heres some advice that might help free up some of your cash for better finds,

Dont do quarters.
