Skunked at the coinstar, but not at the service desk

Coinstars just weren't producing today but I picked up a small pile of various coins tonight from the service desk folks...mostly Canadian, damaged etc...no silver but did get a 36 Wheatback. Here's a snow shot from Amesbury, Ma.

The "service desk"? Care to elaborate?

I periodically check with a couple employees for rejected coins that end up in a bin they keep in the back office by the service desk..the coins I believe are retrieved from the coinstar or from inside self check out machines...I first found out from an employee that they were throwing the coins away so I offered to take them off their hands....hence, I stop in periodically to see what's there...
