I have a connection at one of my grocery stores...he allows me to poke through the rejects collected from the coinstar...though now I pay him alittle in exchange for the coins....today's haul for mostly damaged quarters and Canadian clad was $3.35 Canadian, $3.52 U.S...got a beat up $1 coin in that pile. Plus a few other foreign coins. Not bad...I paid a buck...I will take the damaged coins to my bank...

Thanks for viewing!

I would suggest keeping that part of your agreement just between the two of you,
as it's something that would probably cost him his job if the employer knew about it.

It is something his boss agreed to but I am discreet...at one store I was told they throw the coins away...crazy...

Nice finds (except for the Zincolns). Sounds like a great arrangement with the store! Congratulations on both.

Sounds like a good arrangement on both sides.
It's a nice arrangement...and one that they are not obligated to do so I always ask if they are too busy to check and say thank you....once in awhile a silver will show up but mostly it's Canadian clad, wheatbacks, and damaged coins...
