Update - I just got back from the public identification forum at the Museum and my possible meteorite was a meteor-wrong (actually crystal stone with magnetite). Apparently the shiny black crystal was a dead giveaway. Regardless, I had a good time with my daughter at the Museum and I actually bought a very small meteorite while we were there just so I would have a real one and a wrong one in my collection!
