200+ years of prospecting and mining the CSB has left very little for us to find. A few trips to Uwharrie and all I have to show for it is a few pieces of flour gold. Uwharrie has been hit hard, walking the streams all one will see is holes dug and piles of washed rock. A lot of work for a few pieces of flour gold. I have placed ads looking for a land owner who might allow me and some Army buddies from Fort Bragg to come in and do some prospecting, but no luck there either.
