Went up recently to my mother creek to see if I can still find gold on the hardest creek to find gold . I found my first piece of gold on this creek back in the fourth of July,1991. It was a 1/4-inch flake . I spent a whole year on this creek just finding a few pieces of gold every day and by the end of the year I had enough gold to cover the bottom of a 1 oz. vile. Were talking every sat. and sun. except for holidays. This creek runs near the richest river here in western Wa. and it has been closed to all mining back then and then it opened up to mining again in 1993. Within a month I had a 1/4 ounce of gold from this river and I spent the next over 25 years mining it and got just over 2 lbs. of gold from it. Now back to my test, this creek will test all miners, my first test found a few flakes, but it was in the worst most heavily mined area of the creek and a major flood just happened on it. Passed the test moving on to the richer rivers.
