Finally got out today, my friend Randy took me to a permission he got. Got out in some fields that have not ever been hunted according to the property owner. There is a cemetery at one end of the field, where a church once stood, and at another part of this field was a small family cemetery plot. The dates on the headstones ranged from late 1700 to late 1800. This copper is not roached, like you might expect from a farm field, but slick. There appears to be a bust on both sides, and that's all I can see. It is the diameter of a LC, rang up like a LC, but the rim and thickness are not similar to a LC. Any help in identifying this would be highly appreciated. Thanks very much, Ddf.
