Between the heat and the dry ground, and just plain lack of luck... I regret to report that I have not gotten a lot of treasure lately.
One of last week's hunts produced a few wheaties and a brass key to a jewelry box. Now if I could just find the box, I would be in business.
On Friday night I went to an old school... I checked an area that had an old tree, and had not be disturbed by the earth movers. I got a few coins, some looked like they had been in the ground for a while. Then I got a nice high tone on the Deus, and out pops a Rosie... it didn't look silver, but didn't look clad either, after a little cleaning... I could see the 1946. It had been 21 days since my last silver coin. Quite a long drought. That is silver #26 YTD.
Thanks for looking and good luck.
