Nice finds you had a great day!

Looks like a fine day to me!

Thanks Sandchip,beats a skunk anyday.

That wouldn't be considered a slow day at the feedlot, or anywhere else by me.

I would be pleased to find those. Is there some etching on the cylindrical piece, I am not familiar with those. HH

Nice finds , is the intact point made from obsidian? And the game piece is really unique.

Thanks for reply Quito. Usually find more than this, shouldn't complain though I have come home with nada before.

Yes there is etching across about half of the one flat side.It has slight grooves the length of it also. Will try to take a better pic to show this. That is why I thought game piece. Thanks for reply.

Sadly 86 both points are broke, the stem bases are missing on each one. Find a lot of arrows there missing that. Yes both are obsidian just different colors. Thanks for reply 86.

Nice artifacts you found, congratulations!

Thats what I call a great day! Nice variety of finds. They call those perferator things an "awl".

The little point appears to be obsidian or volcanic glass, which is a great find. The obsidian probably came from one of the volcanoes up there.

Nice finds. Ever find points made from Rainbow obsidian out there.

I don't have one to show you but people have found them.It is not as vivid as the stuff found in N.CA. Glass Butte is near here and many varieties come from there. There are also many other sources for obsidian scattered all around the area but don't have the variety Glass Butte has.

Both points are obsidian. It comes in many, many colors, not just black.
