For you purists out there, this isn't a dug coin
. I was summoned this morning by two aunts to look over coins they found around the house. At the second, there was an assortment of mostly silver, including this SLQ. It's a Type II, and can only be one of five possible dates. Though the date's rubbed off, the recessed mintmark remains, from Denver. So, it's one of the following: 17D, 18D, 19D, 20D or 24D. All of them, with a date, are worth nice double figures; if only this one had spent a little less time in circulation
. A quick price check puts them, in G-4, from $30-80.
