Found in a Northern Virginia field close to a river. What do you think.........small bi-face ax/hammer, or just a rock? Sorry about the image rotation.......strange things happening on my laptop. Thanks for your help......much appreciated.

I don’t know what you have there? Here’s one of two that I’ve found in the creek. Does it have any signs of working on it?

I'm just going to say this... Two things in this thread are something, the other is just a rock.

just a rock and actually, a not uncommon shape.

Virginiaguy, sorry but it is a natural rock. Better luck next time.

Creek Gang........That's amazing! Your two look exactly like mine! OK.......only kidding. Obviously no comparison. I don't suppose you would want to trade? Thanks for your post with the pics.

Thanks to all for your replies. My ax/hammer rock has now joined my others as edging stones in my garden. The search goes on.
