Small Button Fragment

While I doubt(but hope!) anyone can shed any light on this, I think it's a good example to keep everything. This was a small brass shard and nothing told me it was piece of a button until I tumbled it.
Reminds me of a navy design possibly. Was a one piece flat button.

I was thinking that, that it was either a crown or twisted rope. It came from the spot I got the navy at a few weeks ago. One of those too bad it wasn't whole ones haha.
