✅ SOLVED Small Crest (Pin?)

I found this small brass (copper?) crest while metal detecting in the Niagara region close to Lake Erie. It's fairly small -- perhaps 1" long and 1/2" wide and concave. I've attached a front and back picture. I've spent the better part of the day trying to identify the crest. Thanks for any input!

I would think there's some chance that it's a monogram, rather than a logo or crest with meaning beyond someone's initial.

Thanks for the idea! I hadn't considered a monogram. I've been thinking it's a school crest (or something similar) so your idea certainly shows another possibility.
